OOTD - Stripes And Dr Martens

Hello everyone.

Today is an outfit post featuring my beloved Dr Martens.

I love love love this dress! I bought it 2 weeks ago from Mango's concession in House of Fraser and I'm obsessed. It looks good with high top converse, ankle boots and my cute Dr Martens. I can't wait until it's summer and I can wear it bare legged.

I had these Dr Marten shoes for about a year and a half now and I forgot how comfy they are. I remember when I first bought them I was a little worried they'd take a while to break in like my boots, however these were fab straight away. I actually wore them to work for the first time for around 5 hours then wore them for a night out that same day and my feet were fine!

To finish the outfit I wore this old oversized denim jacket. I kind of want to buy a new one as this one is falling apart on the inside and I'd quite like one that was maybe a size smaller.

Do you guys have an item you're obsessed with at the moment?

Makeup Haul

Hello everyone.

So I've bought quite a few pieces of makeup over the last 2 weeks or so and thought it was time to do a haul post.

First up is some makeup for my face. I've wanted to try this Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation for some time now and finally picked one up in House of Fraser. I bought the shade rose ivory as that's what I was matched in comparison with my Nars Mount Blanc. Once I've tried it and used it for a few weeks I'll pop up a review for those interested. I also bought another Rimmel Brow This Way in medium brown. I first bought this back in November and I love it. I actually talked a bit more about it here. The final face product I bought is this Barry M blusher in I think shade BL8 maybe 427 (it doesn't say a colour). I thought it looked quite a nice pink as I really want to start wearing more blush, we shall see how I get on.

Next up is some eye products. The first was another repurchase in these Ardell Demi Wispies. I love these lashes! They are great for a night out and even during the day to make your eyes pop. Now this next product is the Barry M Soft Eye Crayon which I have been hunting for for about 8 months! Every time I went into Boots it was never there so I ended up ordering if off Barry M's website. I used it the other day and loved it so I might do a Perrie Edwards makeup inspired look with it as its what she uses. Read more here. I bought another 2 Barry M products in the Waterproof Gel Liner and the Bold Black Eyeliner which I've actually used and its great. I have quite watery eyes and I used it to tight line my upper lashes and it didn't budge!

The final bits of makeup I bought was a replacement for my very old and loved Mac Ruby Woo lipstick. It's the perfect shade of red and stays in place all day. It also lasted me around 4 years considering I wear red lippy quite a lot. The next lip product I bought was Mac Cherry Lip Pencil to go with my Ruby Woo. I want to start using a lip pencil especially when wearing red lipstick because I think it just looks a lot nicer and better applied. The final product is another Barry M product in this Lip Liner in the shade Russet which again is a product Perrie uses. It is also quite similar to Mac's Spice Liner which is ALWAYS sold out! So I thought I'd try this one and considering it was only £2.99, bargain.

Have you bought any makeup recently? If so, what?

Brits 2015 Best Dressed

Hello everyone.

Today I'm talking Brits. Omg how good were they?! Don't get me wrong, I love James Corden but, Ant and Dec were so much better at hosting. The last time Ant and Dec hosted I was 9 and still dressing overly tomboy with a low ponytail.

All the performances were incredible! I mean Taylor with her glitter rain, Paloma with actual rain, Sam Smith making everyone cry and Ed Sheeran absolutely smashin' Bloodstream as a one man band. But... lets face it, the performance everyone is talking about is Madonna. My heart fell to the floor when she fell down those stairs but I couldn't help but laugh and replay over again about 100 times (I know how mean of me). You have to give it to Madge though, if me as a 22 year old had fallen like that, I'd be crying and in so much pain. So good on her for carrying on but lets face it, that dancer has probably been fired for pulling Madonna down the stairs. Great to put on your CV though!

Anywayyy, onto the dresses!

First up is the girls from Little Mix. If you read my blog on a regular you'll know I'm a big fan of these girls (if you want to see a past post on Perrie click here ). Jesy was looking like a sex symbol in a Suzanne Neville dress. I mean look at those curves! *inserts heart eyes emoji* . Now in my eyes Perrie can do no wrong and she looked beautiful in this Gyunel gown. Next up was Leigh-Anne in this gorgeous Shady Zeineldine gown. The detailing is incredible. Last but not least was Jade in this stunning black and white gown which I wish I knew where from but can't find it anywhere online! If you know please comment below. You looked fabulous girls now hurry up with album number 3!

My next favourite was Paloma Faith in this fabulous Armani Prive gown. It's just breathtaking! Paloma looked like a true award winner and I'm so happy she picked up Best Solo Female, well deserved and a long time coming. You go girl.

Ahh Jessie Ware, what a beaut. Jessie looked great in this Miu Miu dress. I love the low cut and block colouring. If you haven't heard Jessie's albums go have a listen she has a beautiful voice.

My final favourite was Queen Taylor Swift. CAN SHE DO NO WRONG?! Taylor wore this stunning Roberto Cavalli gown and it really was a showstopper. I mean it has a dragon on it! Taylor has been slaying the red carpet as a mentioned in my Grammy's post here .

If next years Brits are anything like yesterdays I for one cannot wait.

London Fashion Week

Hello everyone.

London Fashion week is officially over and we have moved onto Milan. Where is fashion month going?!

There were so many great collections at LFW like; Erdem, Matthew Williamson and Gareth Pugh to name a few but, here were my absolute favs...

First up, Topshop Unique. I always look forward to this collection every season and it really did not disappoint. Everything was perfect, the collection, the soundtrack, the location and who could forget the FROW which included, Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, Kendall Jenner and Alexa Chung. This collection oozed 70/80's vibes and I wish it was autumn now so I could buy everything!

Ahh Burberry you've done it again, what a beautiful collection this was. Again everyone from Cara to Sam Smith and Kate Moss was sitting FROW to see what Christopher Bailey had created. Suede fringed coats, quilt in florals and paisley, this collection screamed 70's and boy was it a success!

My final favourite was Jonathan Saunders. This collection was still hugely inspired by the 70's era but with a more modern twist with tunics layered over 70's skiwear polo necks. I thought this collection was fab. I love the colours and the prints used, which has made me want to go back in time and hang out with Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock.

London Fashion Week has proved that the 70's are definitely here to stay and I for one am over the moon.

What were you favourites at LFW?

Misguided Wish List

Hello everyone.

Today is another wish list post featuring Missguided.

I love Missguided. They have such nice clothes for amazing prices. Although now I don't have my student discount anymore I find it painful paying full price. Those £1 offs made all the difference.

The above are some of my favourite pieces I found online. I especially love this stripped jumpsuit. You could wear it on a night out, but you could also wear it during the day with some converse and a white roll neck underneath.

1) £30
2) £28
3) £30
4) £22
5) £45

What are your favourite pieces from Missguided?

Celebrity Transformation - Kesha

Hello everyone.

Today I'm talking celeb transformations. Over the last year or so there has been quite a few celebs who have really transformed their crazy look at me outfits into more sophisticated best dressed looks. The ones who stick out to me are; Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and the one I'm talking today, Kesha.

Kesha burst onto the scene way back in 2010 with her catchy hit Tik Tok, $ sign in place of S, covered in glitter and unbrushed hair. I've always had a soft spot for Kesha. I think she was really fun and had that I don't care attitude that shone through her music.

Here are some of her famous looks...

She really was rocking the glitter and ripped clothes.

However, Kesha has really turned her style around the past few months and I for one am a huge fan. Just this past week during NYFW Kesha has been sporting some classy sophisticated looks while frowing it.

Here are some of my favourites...

I am especially loving those studded dungarees. You go Kesha!

New York Fashion Week

Hello everyone.

NYFW is officially over and now we are moving onto London eek! I can't believe New York is already over, crazy.

So in honour of NYFW, today I'm talking my favourite collections from the past week.

First up is Coach.
Coach has really been stepping up it's came the last few seasons and I love this collection. Leather jackets covered in badges gave Coach's collection some edge and their shearling coats stole the show.

My next favourite was Rebecca Minkoff.
Proving that the 70's is here to stay, this collection oozed Coachella vibes meets rock chick with the fabulous fringe details, and leather.

Victoria Beckham.
Ahh, now where do I start with this collection? Victoria's was 100% one of my favourite shows at NYFW. Chic tailoring, flowing midi skirts and patchwork fabrics were key in this collection.

My final favourite collection was Michael Kors.
It was a star-studded catwalk with the likes of Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss walking the show, but all eyes were on this beautiful collection. With luxe knits, jewelled like tones and velvet, this show truly was a show stopper.

What were your favourite collections?

5 Makeup Products I Can't Live Without

Hello everyone.

Today I am talking about 5 makeup products I can't live without. Now I choose these products based on if I was on an Island and what products I genuinely couldn't deal with not having.

First up is Benefit's Porefessional. My mum bought this for me on my birthday as she was having a makeover done (I know, shouldn't I have been the one seeing as it was my birthday...) and the lady used this and my mums pores vanished into thin air. I was genuinely shocked as I thought this was one of those products that people hype about but doesn't actually do anything, how wrong I was. I've been using this now since the end of October and I'm not sure what I'd do without it, therefore it's coming with me to the island.

Now my next product you many be thinking, why do I need a foundation? I'd personally chose foundation over concealer any day especially this Estee Launder Double Wear. You can build this foundation so you don't need to wear concealer (although I do as I'm paranoid) so it's the perfect second product to come with.

My next product is for the brows. No one should ever leave the house without having their brows done. I feel naked without my prepped for the day and this Rimmel Brow This Way is great. I was going to chose my Anastasia Dipbrow but this is easier as it comes with a brush. I love this product as it keeps my brows in shape, darkens them slightly and adds 'hairs' into the odd gap I have. It's pretty much a much more affordable Benefit Gimme Brow.

The penultimate product I'd bring to a lonely island is my Max Factor 2000 Calories mascara. I'm going to do a review post on this very soon so I won't go into too much detail but, this is fab. I need mascara to open my eyes and this one is wonderful.

Last but certainly not least, Mac's Ruby Woo. I love love love this lipstick. I bought my first one in Thailand the summer of 2011 and I've only bought my second one last Saturday. It has lasted that long. I actually still have a little left over so I shall still be using that as I hate starting new lipsticks because they look too pretty unused. Does anyone else feel like that? I love a good red lip and if I'm going to be stuck on an island this would be the first thing I would pack.

OOTD - Flares All Day Everyday

Hello everyone.

I am really loving the 70's trend aren't I? Literally everything I've been wearing lately has been some sort of tribute to that era.

Today I opted for my fabulously new flares I bought from Asos a few days ago. I absolutely adore these jeans, especially the shade indigo. You know when you find a pair of jeans and you're just like, "damn, they are a good colour jean" that's how I felt when these arrived in the post.

I teamed my vintage ACDC top I bought from London Fashion Weekend 4 years ago and my aviator jacket with my flares.

Will you be wearing flares this spring/summer?

Jacket - Topshop
Top - Vintage
Jeans - Asos

Dakota Johnson - 50 Shades Promo Looks

Hello everyone.

Hope you all had a great weekend! Today I'm talking Dakota Johnson. 50 Shades of Grey finally hit the cinemas on Friday which meant plenty of promo for the stars.

Dakota has been rocking some serious gowns at the films premieres and talk shows. Here are some of my favourites...

My favourite out of these three dresses is this plunging white Saint Laurent gown Dakota wore at the London premiere on Thursday. Its just stunning and I love how in some photos she was rocking the leather jacket with this gown and she looked great.

What do you think of Dakota's style?
