My Trip To Bleach London

Hello everyone.

On Saturday I finally got round to sorting my roots out. The last time I had my highlights done was the week before Christmas, shocking. Although to be fair, my roots didn't look horrific considering it had been 3 months but still.

I decided I would treat myself and get my hair done at the famous Dalston salon that is Bleach London. Since first opening 5 years ago, Bleach has gone from strength to strength, even releasing their own products. I personally tried the Bleach Rose dye and its FABULOUS! I've been desperate to get my hair done here for a few years but thought it would be a bit out of my price range as the hairdresser I normally go to in MK is pretty cheap (even for MK standards). However, seeing as I got my dream job even if it is temporary (I'll fill you all in when I know how long my contract actually is) I thought I'd treat myself Donna and Tom style (apologies if you don't watch Parks and Recs, that joke will go over your head.)

I loved the whole vibe of Bleach London's salon. It was filled with issues of Vogue, Dazed and Confused, cut out magazine editorials splashed across the walls and even barbies with pastel hair. Obvs. The salon was obviously packed with Bleach London's famous products as well as polaroids of the team. My favourite addition to the salon was the cutest little black pug which totted around an slept happily next to customers on the sofas. I also adored the playlist which included the whole Beyonce - Beyonce album, Justin Timberlake, old school Black Eyed Peas, Diana Ross, Lana Del Rey and lots of Motown. Sassy.

So, what did I get done you are probably wondering. I had a half head of highlights, two toners and a straight blow-dry which was done by Charmaine. What I loved about Bleach is that all of the stylist really know what they are talking about and give great ideas on what is a good idea and not so much. You really are in capable hands there which is always a great bonus. So here is me before... (soz about the picture I forgot to take one before so its a close up from a past OOTD)

The sun is making my roots not look as dark however in person think at least a shade darker. My overall hair is also quite blonde. Now here is me after my makeover....

I looove the final colour! It's more natural and the perfect shade that I have desperately been trying to achieve for just over a year now! What I also love is you know when you normally leave the hairdresser after a dye job your hair tends to feel a bit dry and full of products? Not at Bleach. My hair feels crazy soft and clean!

I would 100% recommend anyone to go have their hair done at Bleach London and I will be making myself another appointment in June!

Thanks Bleach London for my new hair.

Have you been to Bleach London before?

Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards Best Dressed

Hello everyone.

Sorry for the lack of posting I've just been really busy and kinda lacking inspiration. But I do have a few posts for you this week to entertain you.

First up is my best dressed at the KCA's. I must admit I used to love watching this awards show when I was little but I defs haven't watched it in  many years (although I do miss seeing celebs get a good sliming).

This years lucky celebs to get the treatment were, Nick Jonas and 5SOS who have been super excited to get slimed for weeks now. Cuties.

Now, onto the outfits...

I really loved the way Iggy was styled for this awards night. She looked beautiful and it was quite a different look from her normal red carpet appearances. I thought the skirt was breathtaking and her hair slicked back into a sleek curled pony, really tied the outfit together.

This past year I've really fallen in love with Sarah's red carpet looks. She has been on my best dressed the past few occasions as she has been so on point! I really adored this look because she looked youthful but also sophisticated, she found the balance perfectly. And can I say her hair is looking FABULOUS! Makes me want to cut mine short... just kidding, I'm never going short again.

My final fave look of the night came from Disney star, Zendaya. She looked like a freaking supermodel! The stripes, the colour blocking, THAT HAIR. So in love. I have a feeling she is slowly becoming my style crush so I will definitely be keeping an eye on her.

Who were your best dressed?

Why Zayn Leaving One Direction Is For The Best

Wednesday 25th March 2015 was the day every Directioner dreaded, a member of the band has quit and that member was Zayn Malik. THE FEELS ARE REAL PEOPLE!

Now I've been a massive fangirl of 1D since they first graced our TVs on The X Factor almost 5 years ago. Hell, I still remember Harry's lovely solo rendition of Isn't She Lovely (he stole my heart right away.) I've watch 5 teenage boys grow and become the most successful boyband our generation has seen and it's been a great 5 years.

Some people may be reading this thinking "hold up Ciara, they've not split up" and yes I know this but One Direction will not be the same without Zayn. To the non fans or the I like the odd song, Zayn is the quiet, almost forgettable one. However to the fans he has a voice of an angel that no man can hit the high notes like him (Harry tried and fail. Soz babes, still love ya) and the one with a big heart.

Personally although it pains me to say, I do believe Zayn leaving is for the best. I think this because everyone knows he hasn't been happy for some time now. Yes, you may think that having everyone know your name, travelling the world and earning millions is the dream, but sometimes people can't take it. If you're a 1D fan you'll know Zayn wears his heart on his tattoo covered sleeve and is shy and sensitive. He never asked for his life to be played out in the public eye and the 'cheating' photos have proven to be the straw that broke the camels back.

At the end of the day Zayn's happiness and health is more important than the band. They've worked non stop the last 5 years and who knows, if they'd been given even 6 months off after album number 3, I may not be writing this post, however I am.

When I see One Direction again in September and October it will be very strange to see them perform as a 4 piece but I'm sure he'll come back one day.

OOTD - Zara Heels

Hello everyone!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there, hope you have a great day.

So today is an outfit post featuring my beautiful new heels from Zara. I wasn't even looking for a new pair until LOOK magazine tweeted a link to The Fashion Drop and I had a quick look and saw them. They were only £29.99 and arrived the next day much to my happiness.

Honestly, these shoes are so comfy! The sole is quite spongy and the heel is soft too which adds to the comfort. I have been on the hunt for a cute pair of heels to wear with jeans for over a year now and I finally found them accidentally.

Jacket - Vintage
Top - Topshop
Jeans - Topshop
Heels - Zara

Have you bought any casual heels lately?

Paris Fashion Week

Hello everyone.

Wahhh Fashion Month is officially over *sobs*. Seems like only yesterday I was watching shows online of New York Fashion Week.

Paris Fashion Week really showed some amazing collections this season and had some big talking points like er hello ZOOLANDER AT VALENTINO. There were so many shows I loved like; Alexander McQueen, Saint Laurent, Dior... however the following were my faves.

First up, Chanel. Ahh Chanel you never disappoint me. Chanel for me is the show I look forward to the most every season. Not just because of the wonderful collection but the whole set up. Who could forget AW14 Supermarket Sweep or SS15 Protest. For AW15 Chanel took us to Brasserie Gabrielle where the models sat at coffee tables and ate during the show. Genius.

Elie Saab is fast becoming one of my favourite designers. The couture shows are always breathtaking and this AW15 collection was beautiful. Structure and gilded buttons were key and khaki was heavily involved on trailing capes (watch out Madonna) and stand up straight collars.

Valentino's show is probably the most talked about collection at PFW mainly because Zoolander and Hansel appeared to close the show. GENIUS OMG. Everyone was on their feet going crazy to gets photos and footage of this fabulous moment. I loved the gowns printed with Chinese dragons (Taylor Swift already rocking one of the dresses at The Brits) and oversized fishermen jumpers teamed with Aline skirts.

What were your favourite collections?

Boots Haul

Hello everyone.

So on Sunday I made my way to Boots as I needed to pick up a few things, and ended up spending £68. How did that even happen?! I haven't even bought any makeup either. Boots just seems to make me want to buy too much.

The first thing I picked up was the La Roche-Posay Effacer Anti-Blemish System. Now I've been using the Effacer Duo Corrective cream for just over a year now and absolutely love it! I ran out of it on Saturday hence I needed a new one. I was also on the look out for a new cleanser and thought I might as well buy this seeing as it was £32 so I was saving money really. I'm excited to try the foaming gel and toner so I shall let you know how I get on with it.

Next up was a repurchase/newbie in Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. If you've read my blog before you'll know I've been using this for about 6 months I want to say, however I've not tried this one before. This one is especially for Combination and Sensitive skin and I think it's only come out recently as I've never seen it before.

With this product I actually only heard about it an hour before I went to Boots because LOOK tweeted about it being one of Kate Middleton's fave things, therefore I had to have! This is the Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil which is supposed to be good for scars, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles. Now I'm only 22 so don't really suffer with fine lines and wrinkles, I do however suffer from quite bad acne scarring on my cheeks. It has improved slightly after 5 sessions of Derma Pen however, I'm curious to see if this helps them a bit more. If it's good enough for the future Queen, it's good enough for me.

This product is Pond's Eye Contour Cream. I've been on the look out for a new eye cream and I've heard great things about Pond's products and well, it was only £6.99 so thought I'd give it a go. It says it has vitamin E to help improve skin hydration, pro-vitamin B5 to help restore and soften the eye contour skin, jojoba oil and she butter to help protect, nourish and calm skin. Sounds fab.

Finally, I picked up Fudge Urban Dry Shampoo in crisp pear and vanilla. I've been looking for a new dry shampoo and well the packaging of this really convinced me. It smells dead yummy too.

Have you tried any of these products? If so, what do you think?

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara Review

Hello everyone.

Today I'm doing a review post on Max Factor's 2000 Calorie Mascara.
I bought this mascara nearly 2 months ago having been curious after reading The Craft by Lou Teasdale. If you're looking for spider lashes this is the mascara for you! In the words of Lou, "It's probably the best product in the whole world, ever, ever!"

This is my lashes before, as you can see, barely there lashes. Mine are naturally long however quite fair.

And this is my lashes after. How amazing is this mascara?! I like putting more than 2 coats on as I feel it is never enough so tend to do about 4 and I love it. This mascara is only £7.99 too so won't break the bank and it really does work. It lengthens and blackens my lashes perfectly and as you can see, gives them a nice curl (without using a lash curler may I add).

I'd 100% recommend this mascara to everyone and anyone. I'd also like to buy a good eye lash curler so I can see if it makes this mascara even better than it already is.

Have you tried Max Factor's 2000 Calorie Mascara?

Milan Fashion Week

Hello everyone.

So sorry I've not posted much this week! I've been super busy with my internship, but I do have good news which I'll let you know more about in the next few weeks.

I loved Milan Fashion Week. There were some amazing collections like Fendi, Versace but my stand outs were the following...

First up, Prada. Gahhh this collection was AMAZING! I absolutely adored the colour palette and I love that pastels are staying for AW. The collection oozed 60's but more modern. Loved it.

Dolce and Gabbana can you do no wrong? This collection celebrated mothers what with children on the catwalk and a pregnant model. The designs were just beautiful and I've fallen more in love with Dolce and Gabbana because of this.

Last but not least Moschino. I was wondering how they could top their SS Barbie collection but boy did they. Looney Tune jumpers and baseball tops and my favourite, a teddy bear jacket! I would love to get my hands on the bugs bunny bag it's so cute! Well done Moschino.

What were you favourite collections?

Fashion Haul

Hello everyone.

I have another mini fashion haul for you today. So I was in London on Friday as I was sorting out an internship and I thought while I'm here I'll go to Oxford Street, I mean it would be rude not to. I headed straight to Topshop where I picked up these 3 cute tops. They are really showcasing my love for the 70's especially the striped top and while t-shirt. I saw so many nice things in Topshop, however seeing as I'll be spending over £500 on travel for my month internship, thought I best not spend too much.

The next place I headed to was Primark. As usual it was manic in there but I did pick up this beautiful coat and it was in the sale for £10! I initially wanted the pale blue one but they didn't have my size but I do love this pink one. It's quite a weird material almost foam like, but it feels super cozy and warm.

Have you bought anything nice recently?
